we are looking to get some bay trees, about 50 of them, any ideas where i can get cheap bbay trees? we used to get them at ben reids but i cant seem to find them anywhere, they were really cheap as in pence cheap not pounds cheap. ta

To get that number cheaply, you may need to propogate yourself. Bay trees have become very expenseive over the last few years as the 'mupwardly ohbiles' have used them where box once stood...

yup, a decent ball cut standard bay tree down here would not leave you any change out of £30. I'd go for lavendar meself.

I've got two I planted and they're doing ok. I paid about £4.00 each I think. I don't know about propagating them, but I'll take some cuttings and see if they root if you want.
Now where's me hormone rooting powder? ;D

Wearing flat caps, red and black striped pullovers and carrying big bags with the word, 'Swag' in black letters on them, raiding a local tree nursery and leaving nothing but a big hole where the trees were.
