We all know about the cabbage white flutterby, My few cabbages were decimated by them last year so this year I have invested in some Agralan Environmesh mesh netting to see if I have any more luck this year. Also I think the size is just right for the beds we are doing in the field, it cost less than £10 and is 3metres x 1.75metres www.agralan.co.uk

I wouldn`t mind some of that but it wouldn`t stand up to our winds. Each year I get plagued by the cabbage white. I have to go out every morning and hand pick them off. I used to squash them to death but got fed up with squishy fingers so plonk them in a jar then drown them in a bucket of water. Yes, I`m blushing at that. But if I miss more than a day or two, my cabbages and caulies are ruined.
