Ello me dearios. Just decided to pop in after wadin through fifteen feet of fermentin 'orses manure. You'm wanna see ow moi roses'll grow now. ;D
Ok. Well today I spent £1.99 for a silver birch tree at morrisons and if the weather drops down from a severe storm to a nice gale, I might get it planted by the rockery tomorrow. Cracker Junior will help with the fertiliser. ;D

The presenter was a guy called Percy Thrower, who used the phrase when diagnosing plant diseases and pests. "The answer lies in the soil." The soil could be too dry, too wet, too much acid, too much alkali, too much clay etc. Hope that explains things.  Mick. PS: Stepdad eh? That'll worry my Sue. ;D ;D ;D |
