i decided to tidy the seed cupboard today, four hours later i had a arm full of labels to just about every plant we have bought over the last 100 years. you keep them dont you, just in case you need them, for reference.
i steal labels from garden centres ;D well its easier to work out, just in case i have a space in the garden to fill. you can have a look at your labels.
so now they are all stuck into a scrap book, so we know what we have and what we would like and what doesnt grow, easier than looking through a book and buying something you have already bought but it died. by buying the same plant and then buying another plant to replace the one that died. and so on, so now instead of being thick, we can look at the book and say, well that didnt grow, so lets not buy it again.
its also handy for looking at the price of the plants you brought ten years ago (yes my labels go back that far) and thinking my gawd how cheap was that compared to today.
im also going to write a list of the plants i have got, again for reference for later.
so its my little book of reference, something to do in the winter months isnt it.
and seeds, must get a seed chart because i have tons of little film cases with seeds in them, and i havent the faintest idea what seeds they are. i just gather them. next year i will plant them.
next year comes, i dont know what they are ;D
us gardeners we are just so organised arent we ;D
