Hello again everyone, this looks like a fun idea... I'm getting right intae growing stuff... self sufficiency ain't gonna happen while I'm in an army house and moving but at least I can get some basic things going and put some of the organic material back in the soil. Here in Australia we're in drought so its pretty difficult, luckily my area isn't on water restrictions but tap water is never as good as rain, and we still need to use it carefully. probably won't be posting all that much at first but I'll try and contribute.

Welcome Euri. Be interesting to hear about the Aussie methods of gardening, especially with regards to our different climates. It's blowing a bloody gale up here at the moment and the soil up here is very light and sandy and guess what? Yes, the farmer has ploughed, harrowed and sown and now the wind has blown some nice little sand dunes all across the road into the village. The police came and asked me If I knew who the farmer was? I looked at all the sand and dust cloud over the road and said, "Probably the Shiekh of Araby." ;D ;D ;D
Mick. (of the Scottish Sahara) ;D
